Education Programs

The African Queen Project’s educational programming is initially being developed along Geographical – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (G-STEM) related subject matter.  Educational content is being developed to support Museum roles as well as content more specific to the history of the vehicles and the experiences of the African Queen Project staff.  These programmatic products are being designed to meet State and National curriculum standards.  Of course, as historical artifacts, the African Queen Project vehicles are perfect for learning objectives tied to U.S history as well.   The African Queen Project is proud to present these pieces of American History to the public so that we may all learn from their service.

Program 1 – G-Stem: Geography – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

To facilitate the use of the African Queen Project artifacts to assist Formal (e.g. Schools) and Informal (e.g. Museums, Shows, etc.)  educational venues to attract interest in the fields of Geography – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (G-STEM).  The ability of the African Queen vehicles to perfectly illustrate topics relating to the Industrialization and mobilization of America’s industrial might is foremost among the G-STEM related learning objectives.
